Aubrey Drake Graham, born on October 24, 1986, is a Canadian actor, rapper, and singer, best known for his role as Jimmy Brooks in Degrassi: The Next Generation. As a rapper, he goes by the name Drake and is often compared to The Fresh Prince. Despite rumors of joining Young Money Entertainment, he’s actually signed with Cash Money and Universal Motown Records and is managed by Hip Hop Since 1978.

Drake’s Early Life and Career

Drake was born in Toronto, Ontario, to Dennis Graham, a drummer, and his mother, a white Jewish Canadian. His parents split when he was five, and he grew up with his mom in Toronto’s Forest Hill neighborhood. He attended Forest Hill Public School and later Forest Hill Collegiate Institute, where he discovered his passion for acting. He also spent summers with his dad in Memphis.

In 2001, Drake started his acting journey as Jimmy Brooks on Degrassi: The Next Generation. His role ended in 2009 when the show underwent changes.
